Finally! The day came for us to embark on William's very first field trip. It was a perfect crisp autumn day. Excitement was in the air. We were off to the pumpkin patch. And to the reiteration that my son is even more idecisive than his father which is a huge feat. The rules were at follows: find a pumpkin you can carry, have fun, rejoin group. Really, this should have taken a matter of minutes. I think we were on the verge of marking time in hours. O.K. not really but here's how it went...
A pumpkin! Yay! Bigger than recommended but Mom and Dad were there to help.

So that wasn't a winner. A boy can change his mind.
And this one meets our size guidelines. Case closed. Done Hoorah!
Or not. I think William inspected every pumpkin in the patch. As documented here:
We're losing him
Not even worth bending over to check out apparently
Another winner?
Nope
This is exhausting
Let's get back on the horse
Nay!
Winner?
Take a guess
Finally the pumpkin that would give it's life for our Halloween entertainment was chosen. By Mommy. While William ran off to pick flowers. It's all for the kids right?
